Despite the security threats coming mostly from internal breaches we want our employees to have access "from anywhere to anywhere" which requires an "enabling" type of security. This could only be achieved through an efficient Identity Management providing secure Authentication and the right level of Authorization. Although still evolving at a fast pace, Smart Card based technologies for security and other campus applications have matured greatly over the years and offer an appealing employee badge solution.
