Cisco Aironet Wireless LAN Security Cisco Systems acquired the Aironet Corporation in March 2000 to enhance their portfolio for a complete end to end solution with wireless offerings. They currently offer the 340 series (radio transmitter rated @ 30mW) and the 350 series (rated @ 100mW). The security mechanism in the Cisco Aironet product lies in its compliance with the security standards as set forth by Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b standard) wireless products.
