Oh Answer, Where Are Thou? or Gee, There's a Lot to Know
Information Security is the never-ending process of trying to assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your stuff. I am new to this industry and I consider it a daunting landscape. Why "never-ending?" Because the softwares, hardwares, configurations, vulnerabilities, and people change. These changes will probably modify the perceived risks and therefore we have to act. There are multiple threats to every aspect of information, for example, our servers could be hacked in many ways.

Ten Days to Network Security
Network security is not a product that you can purchase it's a process, a long process that you continually update, improve, and monitor. A process that has a policy to define and guide as you manage risks, not avoid them. Starting the process is difficult. In fact, you may not know where to start, what to do first, how to do it. You need to pace yourself but it's nice to have a guide. This paper is such a guide. Whether you're just starting out to protect your network or you're a seasoned professional who needs a refresher, this paper will guide you with tasks to complete along the way and checklists to assist you in making sure all procedures are complete. In ten business days, you will be on your way to a secure network. The day-by-day tables in this paper provide a quick and long-term security task that can be performed each day.

Information Security Primer
This document discusses fundamental security concepts and architectures applicable to TCP/IP networks. This document is a primer and is meant to convey a broad abstract of security in a networking environment. In instances where specific vendor products are mentioned, the reader should not interpret them as recommendations by me, the author. They are strictly for example purposes. As with any other network technology, one product does not fit all environments.

OK, So I Need Security. Where Do I Start?
If you're anything like me, you've always heard about how important security is and how a secure infrastructure is so crucial. You've probably also been rather overwhelmed with all the terms, systems, and marketing material proclaiming how one vendor's system can solve all of your security problems. However, the one thing that you're not sure of is where to start. With all the threats, potential security holes, and snake oil solutions being sold, a core question continues to linger, "What can I do right now to at least begin securing my network?"

Will Your Network Pass a Security Audit?
It is a well-known fact that in the Internet-connected world network perimeter vulnerabilities do exist that allow unauthorized individuals access to networks and provide the ability to disrupt business continuance. Well-prepared companies do know about many of these vulnerabilities and they correct them whenever appropriate. However, there are a large number of new, as well as older vulnerabilities that the average company is just not aware of.
